student fail

the student that say that they don't care when they fail a test deserve to fail but frist the teacher need to encourage them to learn probadly say after school with them teach him for a while and if he show that he really want to gain knownlegde and pass the grde then the teacher should encourage him but if he show nothing then he deserve to fail?
