Jungle Laboratories has an IMMEDIATE opening for an outstanding individual in our Maintenance Department for our SECOND SHIFT!
The perfect team member has a few years experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Additionally, someone with experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance using conveyors, fillers, cappers, ink jet coders, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC’s, and machine tools such as drill presses, saws, and grinders is needed. An exceptional “can-do” attitude, no fear of deadlines, and an outstanding personality are attributes that are highly desired! Additional specialized experience or general vocational training especially electrical is preferred.

Our Maintenance Technician will maintain, repair, and adjust plant equipment according to instructions and procedures.
Essential Functions of the Maintenance Technician I Position:
Maintain plant equipment by following and documenting preventative maintenance procedures.
Repair production and plant equipment and related facilities as directed by Supervisor.
Operate machine tools or other special equipment, using proper procedures, to form or fabricate parts or components.
Build simple structures from wood, metal or other materials, as directed, using hand tools, power tools, welding and basic fabricating techniques using proper procedures.
Move machines, install pipe, fixtures, or related equipment and provide support work for plant improvement projects as directed.
Get required tools, or equipment, clean up areas, and properly store tools and equipment.
Support production by assisting in line set-up as needed.
Work with associates in team effort to further company goals concerning productivity, safety and quality.
Communicate changes to production lines that affect their operations. Assist in training production associates when line modification changes current operating procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Observe and follow safety procedures using personal safety equipment and lock-out/tag-out procedures as required.
Learn, expand, or improve special skills such as welding, electrical, plumbing, etc. through formal and informal training.
Critical Performance Criteria:
Must maximize “up” time on production equipment to achieve greater efficiency and maximize run times.
Timely response to production problems, requests or other department needs is necessary to maintain work continuity.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
High school/GED diploma and 2 years experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance using conveyors, fillers, cappers, ink jet coders, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and machine tools (drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.). Additional specialized and/or general vocational training preferred.
General experience in facilities maintenance in the areas of electrical, welding, plumbing, A/C and refrigeration.
Able to read and legibly write English and follow verbal or written directions.
Able to use intermediate arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, units of measure)
Able to lift up to 50 pounds up to 40 inches from the floor.
Able to function with a high degree of manual dexterity to assemble or repair precision equipment.
Able to operate material handling equipment including forklifts.
